HOW IT GOT STARTED
The Full Story
About the turn of the century, I read an article in the Daily Telegraph about the Camino Frances. I was hooked, fantasised a bit about walking it and then forgot the idea almost entirely. Three children, enormous mortgage, frantic job - the idea of having just two weeks of peace each summer was a pipe dream.
Life rolled forward and I found myself on gardening leave in 2014. Two months into the leave I set off on adventure, for the first time in decades just to have some time to think and celebrate life. I met pilgrims around the world, found my faith strengthen and learned to stop and smell the roses and take pleasure in the small things.

It's addictive. Every year since, I have made time to walk. Every year since I have found joy in God's creation and in the people He has chosen to place on the Way.
