Weather forecasting again

I have 5 apps on my phone to tell me the weather: Dark Sky, the Weather Channel, Accuweather, Clear Day and the BBC. Ok, we can discount the BBC as they have political weather – it’s always hot and dry “because the world is heating up due to carbon emissions caused entirely by you, Nick, and that 4.5 litre Range Rover”…

However the other four have pretensions to be serious forecasters. So today, the predictions of either “drizzle” or “light rain” didn’t really hit the mark of “torrential downpours with lightening for many hours”. One of the great comedy moments that the Camino so often provides was a lightening strike as I was on a exposed road – carrying two metal sticks. As an invitation to disaster it was akin to standing on a mountain top in a copper suit in a thunderstorm shouting “really, is that the best you can do, Odin?”.


I’ve rather belatedly realised the damage the Primitivo did to my feet. Two black toenails, multiple blisters and some serious cramp meshes rather nicely with
