And into the mountains…

Leaving civilisation behind is quite liberating. Today’s walk was cheerfully described by my guidebook as a gentle stroll along level paths and through forests – a nice restful day before hitting the big slopes tomorrow. He was right about the woods; the gentle paths was a bit misleading.
