It took a while to leave Estrada. Not because it was a particularly pretty own but because there was a nice cafe that served good coffee plus a church - San Paio - which was open and so needed a visit.

Having left the highlands behind, today was a short walk down to Pontevea. Mostly downhill and through a much gentler landscape.

The richer vegetation attracted bigger, more colourful, butterflies than the small ones that had filled the previous days.

Pontevea, unsurprisingly, had a bridge which didn't disappoint.

The place I stayed in was a physiotherapy centre about 600m off the camino. They had built rooms onto the centre so that customers could do a few days of therapy but that hadn't attracted much custom. So instead they stuck the rooms on hotel booking sites and had found that worked well. Again really nice people on this route. The nearest restaurants were all closed because it was a Tuesday. I have no idea why Tuesday was the bad day in this town but whatever. So a lift was provided there and back to a super restaurant - Casa Florinda. Beef was served on a plancha which one cooked oneself. I ended up needing a second portion it was so delicious.
